European Landscapes
Foreign language and travel
have always appealed to me.
I grew from a child pestering
relatives to teach me Italian
to become a student of
French, Spanish and Japanese
and Italian language and culture.
This has led to annual trips to countries
where, with varying success,
I "go local" with the language.
Invariably this rewards me with
a warm reception and
an enhanced foreign experience.
I feel so lucky to have incorporated
my favorite things, travel and language,
into my painting life!
